looking for a member...
one of the members here had some pics in his profile that i liked and was wondering if he was still a member so i could show them to a friend. one of my buddies has been talking about how much stronger chevy trucks are than fords. he just hit a blazer in the side and it totaled his truck. the pics im looking for are of an f350 that hit the side of a minivan and just dented the bumper and fender a little. got to show him what built ford tough really means

Hmmmmm, lemmesee... who in this forum has had more wrecks than J Lo's had weddings? I think Yeti had some pictures of a T-boned minivan but I didn't see those pictures in his gallery anymore.

My 350 had about the same damage as Yeti's after t-boning a Ford Escape at about 40mph. I was also towing an 8000# camper at the time. Escape 0, SuperDuty 1

buddy just got the estimate back from the dealer. 4,500 to fix the front end of his truck. t-boned a small blazer doing about 50 mph. like a rock my a## lol. brand new 2500 model truck too. thats something that neither of those two fords even busted a headlight.

3700? looks like all it did was bend the bumper and fender. and repaint the hood. seems like someone may have charged a little more than they should have. this guys knocked the bumper halfway up the hood. both front tires got broken loose, hood was crunched up, both fenders, etc. pretty much an entire new front end, frame and all and his was only 4,500. i guess cheaply made parts cost less. if anyone has any id like to see some pics of a big superduty hitting one of those dang fast and furious hondas

actually...................my expertise here, what has happened, is a sub par insurance adjuster wrote an estimate, i can probobly guess which company it was.... a few like to hire inexperienced (read : cheap) adjusters....since 47% of auto collision damages go unrepaired, it is in an insurance companies best interest to write very low estimates, and most do as a rule......
imagine if the average insurance loss is 2200 country wide (very close to that) and the average estimate is underwritten by 500..... to just one insurance company, this could save them 500 million, to one billion a year, depending on the company.....some save far, far more.
anyhoo, off my soapbox.
do me a favor, post his final repair bill dollar amount, i guaranty is is higher than 4500! and this truck likely needs a frame, i RARELY see a chevy with a good front hit that DOES NOT need a frame, although many shops are greedy, and they repair it.

FORD VS CHEVY>>> .. dude anyone who knows trucks when it comes to fleet vehicles to road racing, to drag racing, to off road racing... knows where the companines stand.....Sooo.. just smile at your personal knowledge and let them keep buying there chevy's.... its capatilizm.. its competition.... the more chevy's they buy the more ford has got to keep there price competitive.. and thus we get them cheaper....so let you friends THINK there chevys are best...... keep the competition alive
