Towing mirrors

Does anyone know of a good source for towing mirrors for a 99 ranger? Thanks, Joe

I use cheap universal towing mirrors that you can find at any autoparts store, but they suck. I wouldn't reccommend them as the move around and vibrate too much.

I opted for Ford's power mirrors on my 99, for towing my 175 Tracker Bass Boat.

They can be adjusted such that you can see each trailer wheel when backing up, or re~adjusted outward for traffic coming alongside in your blind spot.

I've found the power mirrors to be just fine for me. If your tow is very wide, then maybe they would be margional in size.

Bet you could find a good buy on a pair of Ranger power mirrors in a salvage yard, or maybe on "E Bay".

I just use a 2inch round blind spot mirror in the lower left corner of my Ranger mirrors. I have the swing out chrome mirrors on some and the floppy black ones on others and just use the stick on blind spot mirror..works like a charm.

Generally my factory power mirrors are fine for pulling boats and stuff, but when I pull a 6ft+ wide enclosed trailer I can't see behind the trailer to know if/when I need to let someone pass. I can use the swerve trick to get a quick glance, but it's nice to know who's back there.

Thanks

I have the power mirrors installed already. I think I'll try the round blind spot mirrors. It doesn't sound like the mirror extentions are all that great. Thanks again, Joe.
