Laptop Programmer / OBD scanner
I ran across an old post about OBDII scanners and it gave me some ideas. I want to re-program my PCM, and I also like all the real time info you can access on a laptop with programs like www.digimoto.com (dyno, estimated 1/4 mile, trouble codes, pressure and temp monitors, etc etc). The problem is that digimoto and the others I've seen just read the OBDII, and in order to modify the computer's settings you have to burn a chip or buy a programmer. I've heard a lot of good things about the new Diablo Predator programmer, but being that I have a laptop, I'd like to kill two birds with one stone, and of course do it cheaply. Any input, suggestions, user reviews, etc are appreciated. Keep on truckin'... Dave

I was trying to do the same thing a couple of months ago, and from all my research, I was unable to find a program to do it. All of the programs I found just read the codes. The best bet would be to buy a programmer since they will show info from the various sensors.
