Not sure what you are asking. This fix just requires removing the actuator.
There was an AC article about removing the AC unit under the hood and replacing with new door. This requires recharging the system, buying the entire assembly to just get the door, and some cutting on the door to slip it in.
Dropping the glove compartment door alows you to cut the plenum to move the door manually. With small hands, you may be able to remove the door that way. It is very tight and a positive outcome is unlikely. I move the door on mine manually. Just have a summer and winter position. Never felt the need to do anything more. If you cut, there are two seams. Cut above horizontal and to left of vertical. Else you hit the heater. Duct tape seals it up.

Check out the 'free blend door fix' at the top of the forum. With a little patience, you can pry the actuator of the top of the plenum. Plenty of pictures and instructions in the link, and it works like a charm. I screwed around with it for a couple of months before I googled explorer heater problems and found this forum and the fix.
