9" speed sensor,possible?
building 79 f150, bought 97 f250 hd with 460 efi/e4od. need to find a way to put a speed sensor in the 9" for the speedo (whole dash is grafted into 79 cab along with all wiring)and tranny to work properly.tranny was a two wheel drive,i had it rebuilt and a four wheel drive tailshaft put in.I really dont want a newer 8.8 or 10 1/4 3/4 or 1 ton rear end. any info would help thanks

I read somewhere that you can buy a detroit locker that you can mount the speed sensor ring to. You may have to drill a hole in the cover or the case to mount the speed sensor. This is only what I have heard, I haven't tried it so I am not 100%

there's one out there that goes on teh rear output of your transmission, it was designed mainly for guys going 8.8 to 9", but it'll work for anything. P118-119 in the oct. 2004 petersens, it's California Pre-Fun, 909-845-8820
