how much oil

just got a truck its a 84 f-250 4x4 its got the 460 in it how much oil will the motor hold with oilfilter change

The 460 takes 6 quarts of oil with a oil and filter change

It may take 6.5 to 7, so watch out... We have had 2 302s that required 7qts to full, and my 351 take 6.5..

My 86 302 EFI takes 6 quarts also, including filter.

my 86 302 takes 7 with filter so doubble check.

my manual for my 86 -302 says 5 qt, is it wrong?

I measured mine when I changed to oil and filter in it. Also the Haynes Manual states that its a 6 quart system, unless it has a deep oil pan, it should take 6 quarts. This is for an EFI 302 5.0 engine.
