Rear axle problem ??
I bought an 88 5 speed that had a bent driveshaft. I replaced the driveshaft. There is side-to-side slop at the pinion flange, most likely from driving with the bent axle. At highway speeds as I'm going downhill and letting up on the accelerator I get an annoying vibration. If I let off the accelerator completely the vibration stops or if I would give it more gas when the vibration starts it will also stop. I am assuming the problem is from the pinion flange slop. Any suggestions on how to fix. Thank you!

Rear axle problem ??
I had that exact same problem on a 1990 Jeep Cherokee and on my 1978 F250 Highboy. Both times it was both U-Joints at the ends of the driveshaft. You might try checking them.
