Not that hard I changed my rear u-joint left the front part of shaft in I just took off the u-bolt at rearend and pulled back shaft off front shaft removed ret. clips and took a punch and knocked out the u-joint .assm. in reverse. 30 to 45 min job start to finish.
If you ever change one on a car it is the same.
Take the clips off.
Use a bigger hammer and and old socket slighly smaller than the cap to knock the old one out.
Reassemble in reverse order, watch that the needle bearing do not fall out of the cap as you tap it back in.
A big C clamp to squeeze the caps back in makes it even easier.
As soon as it is reinstalled on the truck pump grease through the new joint till it comes out the cap seals. The grease you are using is what you want to see coming out, not that yellow crap they ship them packed with.
You might want to kept the old one in your too box. I put one on my 66 mustang and didn't get the caps on right and they came off about 2 weeks later. Good thing I had the old cap to put them back on and get me to the store to get new ones.
