poor steering after rebuild
79 F250 2wd super cab camper special. Have rebuilt entire steering system, king pins control arms, box and pump. Seems to over steer and is very hard to keep between the lines. Any one have any suggestions on correcting problem. Also new tires and rims, and brakes. Please help...

USN, two months ago i rebuilt a Bendix box for the 68 CS, things were great the first two miles then it would swerve left and right. Found out that the bearings for the input shaft didn't fully seat in the box and the worm would screw in and out app 3/16" then "bam swerve". Readjusted the input and things were well. With a inch pound torque wrench i preloaded 3 pounds torque above the reading to turn the shaft. Warning, don't make the preload too tight as well as the sector shaft preload as you will waste the box. Tie rod ends ok? kingpins tight? Good luck, Carl........o&o>...........
