burning oil

I have a 89 bronco II with a 2.9 and i have to put 2 quarts of oil in it every week but it is not leaking that much what is my problem and how can i fix it

If the engine is worn it may need a rebuild. How many miles on it? A bad PVC will cause the engine to start burning oil at an alarming rate. Replace yours with a new Motorcraft one. Do not use generic. I put in a generic in an Aerostar and the engine started burning oil. Also check the hose connected to the PVC for holes & full of goo. If this does not fix the oil burning have a compression test on all cylinders. That will tell you if the valve guides, seals or rings are worn & leaking oil. Good luck.
