license plate frame

has anyone had the pleasure of changing out a license plate bracket in the front of a new body style 1997 f150 4x4. its amazing the mounting to sheetmetal is bullet proof and the plate frame is just light duty plastic. i guess they thought you would never break one off.

Yea, mine's broken on one of the top brackets. My dog snaged her collar on it and snapped it in half. When I completly brakes I plan on finding or making a metal one.

I am lucky enough to live in one of those states where you don't need a front plate. So I took mine off. Makes the front end look cleaner.

i took mine off as well, hardest part was drilling out the rivets
