My dad differential is shot in his 1988 f250 460 and a c6, one of my friends works at a wrecking yard and said He can get me a dana70 for $100.
My question is if it will be hard to put that differential in my dads truck?.
I am able to get ahold of welders,steel for brackets for a conversion.
My friend said its out of like a mid eighties ford so hopefully it will all work!!

If it's a 4x4, make sure it's the same axle ratio as the one you're pulling, or you'll break something when you engage the front axle.
As long as the Dana 70 isn't a dually, it should be pretty close to a bolt in. You might run into u-joint issues as well.
Your best bet would be to replace it with a sterling 10.25". That would definately be a direct bolt-in.
