Noise
I have a 1988 f-150 4wd. Just this past weekend when I pulled out from a dead stop I hear what sounds like a vibration type noise coming from the rearend or the near the transmission. It is kind of hard to describe the noise. I would not call it a grinding noise. As soon as I get moving it goes away only there when I go to pull out from a stop,
Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a loose exhaust pipe on the back of your truck under the bed. It is common for it to vibrate at take off and once the truck speeds up it goes away but returns in idle vibration when it's loose and hiting something.
