Ok here goes,
F35= F350
R= engine code 239 v8
3= model year 1953
B= Assembly Plant, Buffalo NY
12944= Consecutive numbers indicating unit built 12,944 truck built for 1953 model year.
See your data plate, located in the glove box lid for tranny and rear axle info. At least that's where it is on a F100

Great help, this truck was offered to me at a very small price, there are some small parts I can use, but the body is completely gone, the drive train is all original and runs. I'm thinkin to try and sell the engine and trany to recoop my cost.
Just have to figure the pros and cons.
