Where to find?

I am looking for the passenger side rear brake ebrake cable, that is inside the drum. I couldn't find one a few weeks ago when I rebuilt my brakes. Does anybody have a parts truck, or know of someplace I could find one. I checked Advanced Auto Parts, and found nothing, same with Autozone. Those are really the only two local ones.

BTW. Its for 10 1/2 Inch Brakes.

Just thought of something else...Also looking for new/used with low mileage F-250 Rear leaf springs, for a short bed. Need to beef up the sagging rear, as I use the truck for alot of hauling of wood to heat the house in the colder months.

Any help would be appreciated.

O'reillys or Oreillyauto.com
That's where I got my front E-brake cable. I would buy the rears in a pair and replace both. I just like to keep things the same from side to side.

I concur with Chuky.
Replace both at the same time.

I know enough to know to change them both at the same time. I just didn't know where to get them.

Hey, sorry, didn't mean to offend or imply you didn't know anything. But you did ask where to get the passenger side, and, well, your name is "nuckingfuts". That is a good one by the way. LOL!!

Yeah. I guess that makes alot of sense. The only local places to here have never even heard of one. They keep tring to sell me the brake hardware kits, but it doesn't come with the cables. Thats why I asked. When you search, you get about 10 million hits for websites that most don't even have it.

Didn't mean to offend.

Oreillys had a better price than Autozone around here. Some places have people working in the store who have never even worked on a car, or even changed the oil I don't think. But you can find a mechanic (or ex mechanic) in there sometimes. Just don't ever count on it. I try to always take my old part in with me if possible. I replaced the water pump in a 93 Probe GT V6, and bought the water pump prior to removing the old one and got the wrong pump. (or a bad one??) The impeller 1/8th inch deeper into the engine on the new one than the old one was, and just bottomed out enough not to turn when it was bolted down tight. The guy at the counter argued with me it was the right part until I brought them both in to him and put them on the counter and put a level across them. He noted in his computer that WP had the wrong part # on it. I went somewhere else for my new WP.
Good luck on getting your cable

here are the parts america part number, which are the same as advance auto parts:

Raybestos BC93343 <- left rear cable: $25.99
Raybestos BC93232 <- right rear cable: $26.99

if a dude from advance looks those parts up, you'll have the right ones.

btw, I have a set of f-250 springs on a frame, and I have both cables (ebrake) on a F-150 frame. I'm in PA, though. The F-250 is a 4x4, so you'll have to get 4x4 spring hangers for your f-100 (I'm assuming it is a F-100 2wd). you are welcome to have them if you take them off yourself.

What I do to sort them out is ask for a radiator to a VW bug from the 50's. Or push rods for my RX 7. If they don't catch on quick, I deal with someone else.

Thanks man. Greatly appreciated. Gonna copy that down and go get those this weekend. Since I need to turn in a bunch of core charges that I already have.

Found the leaf springs at www.broncograveyard.com for a decent price IMO. Just gonna grab them up new, with the mounting brackets and all. Thanks for the offer though.
