Who uses Amosoil fluid in their tranny or engine? and how do you like the performance? What service intervals are you running for normal highway type driving?
thanks,
Jeremy
Try doing a search on Amsoil in this forum. Then sit back for many hours of entertaining reading. Also look for a poster called FLASH. He has some interesting analysis on oils including Amsoil. Save your money.

Before this gets rolling, what is your affiliation with Amsoil Jeremy????
Has anybody actually had a bad experience or poor performance from the current diesel 15/40 Amsoil? Just curious because I have been running Amsoil in my motorcycles for years with excellent performance so far.
I have used Amsoil in the tranny and the engine of my last two 7.3's and now I have a new 6.0 (1500 miles) and am not sure what to use. I have no affiliation what so ever with Amsoil. I was extremely pleased particularly with the very cold winters and how it related to starting and drivability. I do not know how ever how it affected the mechanics of the tranny and engine. Neither were ever serviced up to 100,000 when I got rid of them. The only reason I am considering using something else is cause of what I have read on this sight and how it relates to the 6.0.
For what its worth I love this site. I find my self reading it daily... I generally don't have much to contribute though.
Tim,
I have no connection with Amosoil products. I was at the western washington state fair last weekend and they had a booth set up. Another fellow army maintenance warrant officer was with me and interested in using it in his wife's chevy so I inquired about it's use in the 6.0 PSD.. I thought I would ask around and see if people are using it and with what kind of luck to see if it's worth the money. I will be joining my buddies in the middle east and need the truck squared away for my wife to drive and maintain while I spend my year in the sand box.

Since your truck is still under warranty, use an API Certified oil......and save some money, and your warranty!!!

Understand...no worry here...be safe over there.
She can always come on to FTE and ask for help form us....if she needs to...remember that
i currently have amsoil 5w30 in my 550. it works well so far and it has 11,000mi on it. 1 filter change.
i am going to try the delvac 1 in a few thousand miles, because the tbn has dropped faster than i would like to see in a synthetic. other than that it is great and i have gotten almost 2 mpg better since switching from rotella 15w40.(probably because its about the thickness of a cup of cofee )
the atf will have to be mercon SP. u have no other choice.
the amsoil is a good oil, regardles of the tactics of the sellers....... but it is not api certified, so u make the call
