another intro
Hey all, just registered here. Well, I dont yet have a truck, I've got a couple Mustangs and a Mitsubishi, but I'd like to pick up an early 80's 1/2 ton soon. Nothin too exciting, found an '80 F150 (300/4spd/4wd), it'd make a good work truck, somethin good for winter. The Mitsubishi will probably get sold soon, along with the '95 6 shooter Stang. The GT has been in the family since it was new, so thats not goin anywhere.
As far as the truck goes, a good set of tires for starters, maybe a resto come Spring time. Nothin major, a little lift, 4bbl, cam, header, gears, thats about it for uppin the anti, other than that, make it look nice again. Just need to pick a color (still want that beat up old truck look).
I'm pretty much set on the 80-86, carb'd. My Dad had an '83 Bronco and I just like the styling better than anything else I can afford.
