No Complaints

How many truck owners for the 7.3L are out there that haven't any complaints or problems with their rigs.
I know this forum is for helping those with rigs that have problems but I haven't had any.
I have a 2002 7.3L F250 SD Lariat that will pull a 9000 lb trailer at 65mph in OD and in cruise and never shift. Doesn't ever seem to get hot. In OD when I start to go up a hill I take control of the gas pedal and add power so it doesn't need to shift.
When towing a low speeds I always take it out of OD so no power problems there.
No chips or controllers for me so I don't have to worry about my Ford warranty. I did put in the new air filter system. Cost me $256 but I seem to have gotten a boost in power from.
I treat the truck and maintain it better than I do myself, but everytime I go out to the garage it starts on we go on our merry way.
Come on guys, those of you that don't seem to have problems or whatever is needed to have problems, speak up and tell us how good your vehicle is.
I for one would love to hear how great your truck is treating you.

Have a good evening

I've had my 96 for about a year, and all I've done to it mechanically is change the fluids (oil, tranny, radiator, etc) as preventive maintenance. Starts everytime and runs perfect.

I've had my '99 for 10 months now, love it to death! I'm always working on it, but always adding upgrades and cleaning on it. Haven't had anything major wrong with it, just easy fixes. I love knowing I got a heck of a deal on it, 3x the truck of my old one, A LOT more horsepower, and still getting better mileage! I don't think anybody could pay me enough to buy it from me.

99.5 F-550. Bought it June 2004. Pulls like an ox and carries more than I'll ever need. It'll maintain 60-65 mph with a total GVW with trailer at 23,000lb up to about a 5% grade. Steeper than that and I have to shift and it will stay at 45 mph with partial throttle. When it's hot outside the clutch fan will lock up and howl a good one. I don't floor it when it's doing that, I don't want to bake the pistons. No guages yet. Stock programming, no chips.
Love the truck. It's more truck than I ever dreamed of owning.

Ive had my 2000 F250 for about a month now. Couldn't be happier!! Bought it to tow a 7,000 lb shop trailer that I am currnently building. Great power, good milage, about to do some pm work on it (needs it) so I know it will be with me for a very long time. Its a beast!! DEAN

I ordered my '97 F350 new, spec'd everything the way I wanted it (down to the rear gears) and waited 3 months for delivery (saved a ton of $$ in the process, too). It's been one of the best vehicles I've ever owned. Beyond the normal stuff that wears out, the only "problem" I've had in 110K miles was replacing the clutch. That allowed me to upgrade it. I couldn't be happier with with my truck! 20 MPG @ 80 MPH all day long.

I just put the Tymar air intake on it last night.....what a difference!! It obviously is breathing easier now. Gauges and 4" exhaust system are next....then more. I'm setting it up for cross country towing of a 9,000 lb. travel trailer.

The only problem now is, since it runs so much better, any increased efficiency will be obliterated by me putting my foot in it deeper to hear the turbo sing!! Can't wait to upgrade the exhaust....

99 F250 bought 8-15-01 with 40K now has 168K miles. Turbo replaced under warranty at 55K, driver side window motor replaced at 65K, tranny replaced at 83K, torque convertor replaced at 123K, driver side door lock actuator replaced at 145K, front rotors, callipers, ball joints, u-joints, and lock out replaced at 150K, rear leaf springs replaced at 155K. Truck gets used very hard and tows way more than it's rated for.

00 X bought 11-15-03 with 104K now has 124K. Replaced the CPS, still has the original tranny. Wifes rig and rarely tows more than 6K lbs.
