The Patio is still on. I figured I'd respond to the inquirey with a back up so we're covered. I hope to have the approval for the information sheet soon to have it ready for us. Ron

I'll do my best to make the meeting, but I can't be positive at this point. I have two jobs going and though it looks like Sunday is all mine, I won't know until Friday!!

We're getting closer

Well..our second meeting is soon to happen.

I did not get the interest/information sheet completed and approved from the site in time to hand out Sunday. (been sending out resumes)

I'll have the ideas/suggestions sheets to hand out and sheets from our first meeting to our new faces.

I have been looking for sites for our third meeting and have a short list at this point.

I may begin to contact local Ford/Mercury dealers to see if they would allow us to meet at their facilities. This would be a first step towards hosting a swap meet or show with an established dealer as well. This could include area parts stores.

I must say this to everyone......our Officers Tim and John have really been active out here and only serve to show they are clearly a credit to our Chapter. Carol is also taking an active interest in our Chapter. Bob, I'm sure has been sent many e-mails asking for help too.

We could still use a Recording Secretary and perhaps a Chapter Assistant Leader? I'm sure we'll have other Officer Positions open as we progress.

We are looking forward to welcoming new faces Sunday. Thanks, Ron

I have a sun-visor and tool box on the truck, burgandy over silver/beige or whatever it's called.

Second Meeting

Well the weather was great and we welcomed two new members to the Chapter at the meeting. David and Ted as well as John made the long trek to attend.

The quality of trucks was again very high! We admired and discussed trucks and other topics.

Tim took many photos we look forward to seeing on the F.T.E. site.

John was the winner of our first trivia contest, I presented him with an LMC truck parts catalog.

The attending members shared their thoughts and opinions on a poll to gage the direction the chapter should take on Officer terms, Long distance award, most meetings attended award, creating a chapter logo, a recruiter contest, embroidered shirts and decals/bumper stickers.

We discussed a halloween party and the deatils are still to be finished.

I'll start to collect the various sheets I hand out and the Chapter polls and such to begin to maintain a chapter record/history.

I'll make the final selection for our November meeting site shortly. This time, we'll meet a bit farther south in the Orland Park/Tinley Park area to keep the meetings accessable to everyone.

In the coming months, we can meet farther North and well as farther South.

As we welcome new members to the Chapter, we'll adjust the range and locations of our meetings to reflect the areas members are from.

Those attending were Tim, David, Carol, John, Ted and I. We are now at eight members and in November, we'd like to see more new faces.

Thanks to all, you guys are great! Fastronald
