Thx, Tim
best advice I can give you is SLOW DOWN getting "there" safely is better than getting "buried" quickly. Think about the "others" you might harm and put yourself in "our" shoes.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 17-Sep-02 AT 02:50 PM (EST)]well Im usually a responsible and morale person i just dont know what got into me that night....I did talk to the officers at our school and he said just tell then truth and plea for the improper driving charge. so i got myself neck deep into S***.
o yeah one of the reason i think i was going that fast is I-95 was completely empty so i made that grave mistake of trying to speed on an empty road.so there was noone else to endanger but myself.
At 134 ft per second you just can not tell what you may hit coming the other direction because you are closing on each other at 220 feet per second (your 134 + thier 88) , minimum, on a highway.
People get killed all the time when vehicles cross to the other side of the highway and get struck head on. The worse is a disabled car at night on the highway, even at 65 mph, if its in your lane you are probably going to hit it because it is beyond the 500 ft range of your headlamps.
My friend and I use to race and thought we would never get in an accident. My friend was driving normally (below the speed limit in the city) and hit a tree one day because a kid rode out in front of him on a big wheel from a driveway. He decided to hit the tree instead of the kid.
I try to think of what I will tell the family if I kill someone simply because I was speeding and could not stop in time. Even if I had the right of way.
This happens a lot in NE off I-95. You hit a deer (your case lets say 134 ft per second). It comes through the windshield, knocks you out or you lose control. You cross the highway or jump the divider and for five seconds (a very short time) you keep traveling at 90 mph and hit a car that originally was 1200 feet from you before the accident with the deer started.
Unfortunately I did not learn my lesson about speeding until my 20s. Luckily the only thing I lost was time, money, and a license for 30 days.
Having owned three Bronco IIs I would like to point out they are unstable for sudden steering and braking at 35 and 65. Never mine 92! You slam on the brakes at 92 in a BII the most likely thing is a complete loss of brakes or a complete loss of control and a flip on the roof or sliding sideways into whatever you tried to avoid.
This picture was probably not even 35 mph.

yeah i know thats what everyone is saying....i cant believe it got that high....plus my b2 has like 300k+ miles so im surprised it didnt fall apart.....but at 92mph it was shaking at all, thats probly what threw me off the most about my speed....my brothers berreta shakes at 65mph but......... btw i still dont know why i did it
In my state you would not be issued a citation until after you were released on bail. Learn from the advice of others on the forum... we would not comment unless we care, and have seen death and destruction from a careless lapse in judgement. Let this be the first and last time, and take your licks accordingly. Be a man, admit what you did without hesitation and suck it up. Advice for the future is to use good judgement.

Experience comes from bad judgement"
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 14-Dec-02 AT 10:16 AM (EST)]If you haven't been to court yet, just tell the truth. Get yourself a job, anything will do, start saving the money for the fines and additional insurance payments. This will show the Judge that you are taking the responsibility in a personal way. It will also take up some of your free time with work time, and that might help keep you off the throttle every time you're on the road. And every time you drive or walk back and forth to work you can think what got you in this mess of reckless driving. Slow it down. By the way, if you have to go to court, go early. See how the system works. Dress nicely, and be very respectfull to the judge. Take your parents or minister or guardian to stand with you and vouch for your responsibility. Never approach the bench area without permission, keep your hands out of your pockets, no gum, don't drink any water if it is available like on Judge Judy, no interrupting, show remorse, and stand up straight, hold your head up and look at the judge when speaking "yes your Honor No your Honor" , no wishy washy murmuring. Good luck!! You'll need it.
wow, My BII with 33"s could do a top spead of 82mph down hill with a good tail wind. It only took about three miles to get up to that speed to. I never had to wory about a speeding ticket
