misaligned cab

When I look down the side of my '72 the cab and box are out of alignment by about 1/2". I measured from the frame rails to the box and get the same measurement on both sides but the cab is 1" more to one side than the other. Now that I have noticed it it really bugs me.

How can I fix this? Does this not seem to be a big amount?! When I folded the seat forward I could not see the cab-to-frame bolts...are they under the gas tank?

Thanks

Have you checked your cab and bed mounts? They're famous for rusting out, especially in areas that use salt on the roads in winter.

you will have to loosen 4 cab mount bolts, and 2 bolts holding the core support to the frame, then use a jack, pry bar, or something like that to push the cab over in line. then with whatever holding the cab in place, retighten all the mounting bolts. when you get the cab moved just do the same on the bed.

Yup, the rear bolts are UNDER the gas tank. Remove the tank(try to run it down on fuel, it's much easier to move when it's NOT full).

Loosen the cab bolts and slide it over. Should not be a hard project.
