1994 Clockspring
So i have my airbag light flashing a code at me. I-I-I---I-I. 32, means Drivers side Module Resistance too high. I can only assume this is the clock spring gone for a crap. So the question is: Is it easy to replace? How do I go about it? (it's the same as the Airbag Sliding Contact, right?) My Chiltons says I need a Differential Bearing Cone Remover/installer tool to pull the steering wheel. Is this true? or can I use my old-school Bolt it to the hub and tighten the center bolt type Wheel puller? I don't wnna have to futz around with the Airbag Module until it is time to do the job, if I can help it, as it seems like a lot could go wrong. The steering column is Non tilt, Manual Trans (floor), non cruise, so it is the simplest column/wheel in a truck of this year (I think).
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and a complete Step-by-step walkthrough would be great. Chiltons in more than useless on this one.
