Switching heads? 1990 351 W

Hey, my friend is a chevy guy and his dad put 305 heads is his 350 and he has real high compression and lots of torque. So, I was wondering if I could put 302 heads in my 351 and get the same results? Any ideas?

The 302 and 351w heads are almost identical. The only difference in the late 80s and 90s was the bolt hole size.

New cam, and new heads. The explorer 302 heads are better than the E7s. On the 305 and 350 the heads are different in combustion chamber volume, the Ford heads are not.
