Catalytic convereters

A friend has a 96 f150. It has 5.0 V8. He wants to cut off his cats. Is there a oxygen sensor he could buy to fool the computer. He tried a mustang cheater sensor but his check engin light came on.

Tell you're buddy to leave the cats...cutting them off provides very little performance gain and does nothing but polute the air. If he wants to he can buy a high flowing cat from summit racing for about $60.

Also you can run hipo cats and no muffler. Makes for a nice deep tone.

One of my trucks is a 1997 F-250 HD with the 460. I cut of my little cat because it was rattling and my gas milage went down the ****ter quick. I am getting about 25 more HP and my gas milage is now 15 mpg better then it ever was. Not only that it sounds much cooler and shifts smother the power band seems to be better. It beats paying 790$ for an oem converter. I got my self a section of 3 inch exhaust and cut and welded in the new 30 in section. It took me about 3 hours taking my time. You will love the difference!

You can buy mills or atleast so I have heard. Someone in the exaust forum can easily help with that I'm sure.
