I am going to buy the parts and do it myself, but want to know before I take it apart just exactly which parts I gotta order. Does anyone here know from experience which gaskets I'll be needing besides the O-rings? It's a 1998 4.0 SOHC V-6 engine. It's got 125K miles and never had the intake seals changed. It idles too low especially when cold. It gets about 17 mpg on the highway. I have replaced the IAC, Inlet air temp sensor, TPS, egr, pcv, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, wires, and probably a few other things I cant remember. NONE of the above items changed the idle problem at all. I can hear a very loud hissing all the time which i blame on the plastic intake, but maybe its a leak. I have tried spraying all around the base of the intake, but the idle never changes. Maybe I should try that when it's cold.
So if anyone can please suggest what parts I need to get with the gaskets, and what the torques are for everything, that would be awesome. The local parts stores never have the book for this POS exploder.
