vin location?

vin location?

I purchased a 1954 f-100, the vin plate is missing, is there a vin on the frame;
if so where? Thank you.

Yes there is one on the frame. On my 55 it was on the top of the passenger side frame rail towards the back of the engine compartment. I'm not positive but I think your 54's vin should be in the same place.

That's where it is on my '55 as well. Pass side just forward of the firewall. Take a wirebrush to the area if you can't see it.

The VIN# on my '54 frame is stamped on the top of the passenger side of the radiator cross member. If you can't find it on the frame check there. - Brad

just found the vin on my girl friends panel. thought it was a 55 turns out to be a 54. vin was on the front cross member by the radiator, close to the passinger side frame rail
