Today I weent to pep boys and bought set of auto vent shades for my side windows on my 2004 F-150 supercab, and guess what? they didnt fit!!!!! According to the box, they should have fit as they were marked for a 2004 F-150 super cab/ext cab, but when i went to put them on, they were too long for both the front windows and rear windows (rear side). Guess I'm going to have to go to pep boys and raise some hell as i spent 40 bucks on them for them not to fit. Has anyone else had this problem that went to buy them or is mine just a fluke?
Pep Boys gave me my money back, but no wasnt for heritage. The one for heritage was clearly marked for heritage unless they put the wrong ones in the package at factory.
Oops, my bad LOL I just looked at a web sitee for them, turns out I didnt have the in rail ones, had the ones that mounted outside the rails, which to me looks frappy so Im lucky pep boys gave me my money back oops LOL
Yeah, those that mount outside do look bad. I have weather techs(which mount inside)cost about $100 for screw set. You can see them on my gallery. My only peev about them: passenger one is SLIGHTLY in line of sight of miror. Other than that I love them.
I bought the AutoVentshade brand from Pep-Boys but I asked for the "Inside Channel" style and they fit perfect. I had to order them since they didn't have them in stock but it didn't take but a couple of days to recieve. I have pics of my truck with them in my gallery. Also with these there was no tape to hold them, instead they have snap-in clips that hold them in place. Haven't had any problems yet.
