the open eliment filters arent always the best option. yes they do allow more air to enter the motor but its being pulled in from under the hood were temps are very high. hot air doesnt create power , cold air does. best option would be to get a drop in K&N filter and then get the intake tube from a 90's 460 equiped truck. the tube is larger and pulls air from an openning next to the radiator in the grill and attatches the same way to the air box as the stocker does. do a search it has been covered a few times
