Differential Fluid
All the big truck shops around here use 75-90 when they service rigs, and will sell it to me for ~$2.50/quart if I bring my own container. Only a couple places stock the 75-140 and it's $15/quart as no-one usees it enough to carry in bulk.
If Peterbuilt, Kenworth etc recommend 75-90, why the 75-140 for Ford?
But I just changed mine and put Amsoil in at $12.99 a quart. But Wal Mart has it not,I've seen it for about $6.00.
Make sure you clear the vent tube and fitting for it at axle. Mine was getting plugged at fitting. Rust I believe. I reamed it clear with a small caliber gun barrel reamer. A guy blew his seals because of clogged vents.

The clutches are very harsh on oil and if the oil breaks down the clutchs will do things you don't like & eventually die.
The 75w140 is GL-6 and a full synthetic oil, that is why it is expensive.
I think you'll find those other diffs are not LSD, but even if they are, they are in vehicles that will never be abused in the way some of the F250's are, (wheel spin, fast hard cornering).
