Swaping out
Hi, guy's I'm getting ready to rebuild & swap out my old trany Cruse-O-Matic, to a C-6 do I have a lot of mods. to do or is it a straight up job. It now has a 352 w/ 390crank & rods .030 bore & headers . Will the cross - member work???

I believe they will work for you, you may need to move it around on the frame, back or forth, to get it to work correctly. Do you have a new torque converter for the C6, may need one of those...

Remember to check the shift quadrant:
Old autos use P R N . D L
Where the . was a 2nd gear start and held second.
New is P R N D 2 1
So if you drive in D but have the new tranny you are alway is second.
You'll figure this out listening the the shifts....

I replace my C-4 with a C-6 recently; the only suggestion I could recommend is to ensure that the clearance at the fire wall is enough; I place my engine/trans combo swap alittle to far back. For when I needed to remove only my transmission I had to pull my engine as well.
I did a 300cid & C-4 swap to a 302 & C-6 combo.
