Exhaust (FlowMaster)

I just had a flowmaster put on my truck and as we all know they have to put in a lot of extra pipe to make up for the length of the original muffler. Well the new flowmaster isn't quite as loud as I would like it to be. My question is if I cut the pipe a little after the out-let would it make it any louder due to the pipe being shorter?

Thanks: Travis

I am looking at installing JBA headers and exhaust at a price of 1050.00. Is Flowmasters a better exhaust. What hp gain are you expecting to gain?
