68 Bendix out Saginaw in + Help
As the rebuild kits starting to leak again on a "can't get a seal kit" Bendix power steering box, i'm going to a Saginaw box. I missed steering 1 A class. Got some questions for a 68 F 250 2 wheel drive, FE, C 6 with Thorley headers. I have a spare steering column from a 71-72 (?) besides the original one for the Bendix. Can i install the 71-72 steering shaft in the Bendix? What else has to be done? Is there a good year to look for Saginaw box? Price for rebuild kit, Bendix was $167. Clearance problems with headers or motor mount?Any instructions or forum on rebuilding to use? Thanks, Carl........o&o>........
