solid axle conversion to a dana 44

Hi, i have an 83 F-150. i'm looking to junk the IFS and put a solid dana 44 under it. I have a 4-6'' lift and want to keep the coils in the front instead of going to leafs. Not sure what i need or tips for the project. any info will help, thanks, Andy

the best thing to do is to find an old 78-79 (older years will work to but this is the best year to use) beater for cheep and use the entire front end out of it. Its mostly straight forward bolt in (coils shocks and steering bolt up) but you have to make brackets (there are companies that make them though) to mount the radius arms as well as the trac bar to the frame.

use the radius arm brackets off your solid axle donor truck, recommend buying good track bar bracket and adjustable track bar from superlift, only becuase of you 6 " lift. Had one break of on a weekend offroad trip and had to guide buddy through every hole, couldn't steer it, but we made sure he didn't break anything else .
Oops sorry for the ramble!
