Hello Everyone....
This truck is awesome, tall, wide, long, definitely ups the testosterone from the ole 1500 Silverado. Anyway, I am picking it up Saturday afternoon, anything I should look for or have them do while the salesman still remembers who I am??
My only complaint is the seatbelt chime every 20-30 seconds. Anyway to ditch that? Thanks again guys, hopefully I will be contributing soon enough.

Congrats on the truck. I'm sure you'll love it. Believe it or not but the chime deprogram instructions are in your owners manual. Doesn't take more than a few minutes. Nothing is cut or disconnecting, it's all computerized. As far as pre-delivery stuff. Just the usual check for paint defects, walk it with your invoice in hand to be sure you got all your options you paid, take it for a drive BEFORE!!! you sign anything. If you got the PSD (Powerstroke Diesel) just be sure and take it easy on the motor for the first 500 miles. Don't romp the gas. These diesels consist of THE most complexed electrical and computer system available to the public. I kid you not, but it is a well known fact there is far more technology in our beloved 6-ohs than the apollo space shuttle. These trucks actually learn your driving pattern. By that I mean the first 100 or so miles your shifting might seem ruff. What it is doing is adjusting the shift pressures according to how you drive. There are many other adjustments the computer makes during the first few hundred miles. So just take it easy. Post some pics when you get a chance so we can all see.
Best of Luck,
Corey

Q: How do I turn off the Belt Minder feature?
A: The instructions are outlined in your manual but here they are anyway.
1. Set Parking Brake & put truck in Park.
2. Turn key to ON but do not start. Wait for the seat belt light to go off.
(NOTE: This could take 30+ seconds before the light goes off. Be patient.)
3. You have 60 seconds to complete the next task.
4. Buckle and unbuckle the seat belt 3 times ending with the belt UNbuckled.
5. Turn on the headlight and then turn them off.
6. Buckle and unbuckle the seat belt 3 more times ending with it UNbuckled.
7. Watch the dash as the seat belt light will illuminate.
8. Within 7 seconds of the light going out, buckle then unbuckle the seat belt
You're done!
Sounds like an awesome truck!! Enjoy!
