What is the best method for checking vacuum leaks in the engine compartment? I think I can hear one but I can't pin point it and the truck is idling and running pretty rough?
I like to use Carb Medic carb cleaner spray to find vacuum leaks. With the engine idling, spray it where you suspect a leak might be. If there is a leak the idle will change when it sucks in the Carb Medic.
A common place for a leak is the PCV tube at the back of the intake manifold.
