Dealer recommendation

Any of you guys north of Boston have any recommendations for a Ford dealership? I've got a '99 F-250 5.4l that's got a rough idle and is sluggish on the highway. It's not showing any codes. So far I've replaced the idle air control valve and the throttle position sensor, ran Techron through it, changed the fuel and air filters, cleaned the MAF, all with no luck. I bought an Autotap Scanner and it does not show any plug misfires. It's been to two garages and they could not find the problem, so it's time to bite the bullet and go to a dealer. I've got two Explorers that have been to two different dealers in my area (Salem) and have not had the best experience with them. Any recommendations?

Thanks for any help.
Joe

My recommendation is for Portsmouth Ford. The service rep you need to see is Dan Bergeron. He is the only guy I deal with. If you do go there tell him Chris M sent ya. he has taken care of me and my Fords for four years now and unfortunately it has been for some serious problems between my F-250, the previous F-150 and the wifes Explorer.
Good Luck

Did you try Danvers Ford or 128 Ford in Wakefield? If you were further North, I'd say Regan in Haverhill.

A warning: stay away from the dealer in Beverly ( I'm drawing a blank on the name)- they really messed up my daughter's Tempo a few years ago. We wound up needing a whole new engine! Thankfully, Ford stepped in and covered the costs!

I actually go to a Lincoln Mercury Dealer. Its Concord Lincoln Mercury in NH. Call 603-224-4100 and ask for Lee. If you do go there ask to have Mike do the work. They always do good work for me.

I agree with sglaine about David Ford and I have heard good things about Sweeney Ford in Greenfield mass as well.

I have been very happy with Ipswich Ford. They sell a lot of trucks to contractors. Its a nice no BS old style family dealership that's run by car guys.

Thanks, Sportscar. I've heard from friends that Ipswich Ford was good as well. Finally got my problem solved at Danvers Ford. Expensive but worth it.

We had a 99 F350 that was a lemon that came from Danvers Ford and they would not do any thing for us.
