Engine Sounds LOUD
Got a quick question for those of you who drive distance. My truck does this weird thing where if I drive for a couple hours or a good distance the engine sounds funny. The other day Im traveling south on I-95 down through Fl at about 75 to 80 mph and decided to stop for a bite, pulled off the exit and stoped at a light. When I went to accelerate the sound of the engine was extreme, it sounded like I was pulling the moon and it felt like I was lacking power. Now I use to have a 96 chevy gasser that did the same thing. Am I over reacting in thinking something is wrong or do I have a serious problem. My truck is a 2000 F-250 6sp/tymar intake/Valve cover vent re-run/intake heater removed/Gagues. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Did it last for just a few seconds, not more than a minute? Sounds like the fan kicking out to cool the engine down. I sometimes get this loud jet engine, wooshing sound after a long run on the freeway. If thats not the sound you are hearing, post some more info.

yeah it doesnt last very long, That would explain it, I didnt relieze the fan was that loud also I thought it was direct fan where it was always pulling air wether you needed it or not. I guess there's a clutch in there somewhere. Thanks for the help, I look into into to make sure that is the cause.
You must have been the only person heading south in Florida!!!
