Door Adjustment

I would like to here any tricks for adjusting the doors on my '90 1/2 ton.

If the door sags or is not hitting the striker post correctly? The hinge bushings are bad and need replaced. If you have replaced the bushings or replaced a door and need to line it up? It is best to pay a good body shop to adjust the door. It is trial and error for most of us non-body shop people!

eastwood sells a door alignment tool. loosen bolts, hook it on the the latch and the door and use a breaker bar to twist it back up and tighten bolts.

Put washers between the bottom of the hinges and the door frame. Adjust number of washers accordingly until door lines up properly. As mentioned the bushings are bad, but the washer trick works just fine and is free.
