Aerostar surging and eletrical demons

I have a 92 aerostar with a 3l and auto. When it first starts up and sits and just revs up and down, what can be the source of this problem? Also when the heater controls are set on defrost or A/C. And you go to start them van it starts then stalls, also when on any of the heater controls and the van is shut off the daytime lights stay on and click up to high beams then go out after a few seconds. When the control in in the off position the lights go right out when the van is turned off. Any help would be great.

If the 3.0L is anything like the 4.0L, then you might want to take a look at the idle air control valve. It can get dirty and sticky and usually can be fixed just by cleaning (rather than replacing it). It's easy to check. Just a thought.

As far as the electrical demons, I can't help you with exorcisms.
