99 Explorer Rear wiper doesn't work

I've checked the hatch and rear window switches. They appear to work properly - no open door lights when they are closed. With the ignition on and the rear wiper switch in high, the relay under the hood clicks. I also hear a clicking from the wiper motor. Try as I might, I can not move the wiper from the park position with power to the wiper. I believe that I have power to the motor due to the clicking, but can't confirm as I am waiting on a new lead for my volt meter. Shouldn't I be able to move the wiper?

This leads me to believe that the motor is bad. I am correct? If not, what other steps should I try before replacing the wiper motor?

If it is the motor, should I get one from Ford, Auto Zone or other vendor?

Pull the cover off the wiper arm where it attaches to the post and see if the nut that holds the wiper arm on has worked itself loose. I had the same scenerio with mine and the nut was loose and allowing the post to turn back and forth with the wiper arm just sitting there!
