What is the difference between a 360 and a 390

First off welcome aboard! Secondly, as previously stated, but you also need to add pistons to the mix. The 360 uses a shorter stroke crank, thinner and longer rods, and pistons with a little taller compression height.

Firstly! Welcome to FTE! Please don't be put off by really short answers to your questions. 360 and 390 are the same engine with the exception of the stroke (360 is shorter than 390). Pistons, rods and crankshaft can be moved easily from one to the other since the block and all other parts interchang.

I think the heading for his question is FE motors. Wich would delete anything ohter than Ford.
