I was given the hole hook up for an elec.,for my F-250 C/S ,THE FAN has two speeds low runs off a prob in the hose and High is set manualy when the temp. is around 200* kicks on high , its a 19" fan , I"m sorry for running off about the fan, works great. but i have a " ? " my truck has headers on it and when i run my A/C the a/c compressor looks like its going to viberate off the mounts, has any one had this problem? some one said that the foctory exh. had a bar bolted to the exh.manifold up to the a/c , any help would be great . I have some doubts that the 19" will be enough to keep your truck cool. Your compressor should not vibrate like that. I would agree that either you are missing a support bracket (or a support is cracked) or your pressure is skyhigh.
My truck is a 1975 camper spaical ,I just had a shop service the system , evacuated it down and recharged it, and yes i do have a brace bar missing, it gos from the top of the a/c comp. to the exh. manifold , "but" my truck has headers, ? would i have to make one made up to fit? i"m guessing maybe no body haveing this problem, but any idles would be cool. P/S The R-12 readings were high side 240 psi, and low side was 25psi my temp. of air out my center vent was around 40* not real cool, but it was 100* that day.
