wastegate question
I have 2002 F350 4x4 CC PSD, 60hp bullydog chip, 2 stage air ind., 4inch turbo back exhaust with 18 inch by 5 inch Chrome end pipe. at 2000 rpm pulling load up hill or eccellorating I get loud repetotive swooshing noises, when let off acc. a little, it decreases, smooths out and power again is felt. Someone said adjust wastegate 4 turns to tighten, other said put Boost controller on which I've ordered. I've read that some of you have disconnected waste gate. I did and runs much better but afraid to pull load due to possible damage. I have autotrans. temp gauge but no pyro. Any thoughts.

Try posting this in the 7.3 PSD forum. A lot of those guys have "disconnected" the wastegate. In reality, they haven't really disabled it, but allowed it to have a higher peak boost PSI and spool up faster. Save your money on the wastegate controller, you can do this mod for close to free.
