I was recently in an accident which totalled my 99 Ranger. I am therefore in the market to buy a new or used vehicle. I would like to try to take advantage of the current rebates, low interest financing, and/or year-end cloesout specials and hopefully get a good deal on a new F-150.
My question is: Does Ford offer any sort of "brand loyalty" discount to previous owners of Ford vehicles? I had previously bought my Ranger used but can remember receiving mailers with enticing offers to upgrade to a new Ford over the past couple of years. If such a discount exists, can it be combined with the rebates that are currently being offered?
Ford Motor Credit often has promotions for repeat customers... I'm not sure what they call it or how to find out your eligibility but 56MarkII will probably post with details.
I got a letter from Ford today and was going to start a new thread but it will answer your question:

Its says for rest of incentives go to fordvehicles.com and ends on September 30th. There is small print but I won't bore you further. Jeff can probably give you more specifics Re: Retail Program #1482 or #2328, RCL #5162 and Ford Credit clearance cash #1490
There was a "loyalty" rebate offered a couple years ago, but I haven't seen one since. Believe it or not, there is a rebate for people who have totaled their vehicle, but you have to be with certain insurance companies, and your agent/carrier has to get you a coupon. I believe Travelers is the insurance company sponsoring it, along with some of ther subsidiaries (TICO, Atlanta, etc...). But you have to get a coupon from your insurance company first BEFORE you bring this up with your dealer.
The only other "program" I've seen has to do if you have a loans with Ford Credit. I've received 2 letters in the past year with an offer that if I purchased a new vehicle I could receive 2 times my monthly payment towards the purchase in addition to any other offers. For me that would have been just over $900 if I had taken advantage of it.
Mostly what I find are deal for people driving other makes. Seems they want to make new customers not keep the old ones... GM has a brand loyalty discount, and a new to GM discount, so they go both ways.

DOH! I used one of those buying my Lightning, and wondered why the discount number was "wierd". Now that you mention it, exactly double my previous payment.
DUH, I'm a math guy, I'm supposed to spot stuff like that!!!
