I'm a new owner of a 1965 Ford F100 with a 1969 Mustang 302 CI V8. I was told by the previous owner that the transmission is an FMX/Cruiseomatic. He does NOT know if this is the original transmission that came with the truck.
I found a metal tag under a bolt on the transmission on the passenger side that is approximately 2" long and 1/2" wide. It has the following stamping on it:
D2ANAK
1BPHBL3
Can anyone tell me what this information is? Or where I can go to find out myself?
Thanks!
I have parts manuals that go from 1948 to 1979. The manuals give part numbers for just about any part you might find on a truck, and have IDs for parts such as transmissions. They are very useful when I want to know for example if a light switch for a 64 Falcon will interchange with a 64 Ford F-100. So as you can see they can be a useful tool. www.michellesfords.com
Hi Michelle, I don't recall seeing you post on this forum before, WELCOME.
I checked out your site and it looks like you are one busy lady, as well as still being a good lookin ol broad. Thanks for your service to our country, and sorry about the lose of your spouse. Having been one of those for 35 years I know there is a large hole there. I did wonder how you did all of that work and was able to keep the nails, but suspect that goes along with the meticulous work that your truck shows.
Hope you'll hang around and help answer the questions that come up.
