Recalls

Has anyone else not had any of the recalls done, like the reflash and icp?
I have a Dec 02 engine build date and don't see any real problems yet. Do have a damp bell housing but no drips. Mileage is 21 on interstate and 13.7 in town, no pulling done yet. Wish fuel prices would come down some, I have to decide to wether to ride the GL1800 or the SD

Hey Nccpartsman, I just bought my 04 two weeks ago now, CC 4x4 Long Bed and it is currently marking up my driveway with nickel sized oil spots overnight. Sooooo, my question is should I be worried about them reflashing? I'm planning to get the Predator soon anyway, so is the reflash even a factor if they do it? Or do I already have all the current flashes anyway?

"D"---in your case it's a different thing--totally "different" motor. Predator has not much to do with a reflash--it's a performance enhancer that you don't want installed when it goes to the dealer. You definitely need to see your dealer about the oil spot thing--sounds like the rear main seal--do you have a good dealership with good diesel tech support?? If not then find one before you let any old jackleg touch it. Inquire about experience and certifications. This is MOST important. It ain't no 350 cheby for sure!!
I can't tell you about your flashes--get your vin# ready and PM it to Tim Lamkin--he can get it run for you to find out about the current flash (hopefully) in your truck.

Yeah, to be honest, I haven't had much experience from this dealership. First time buying a Ford and first time buying from them. But I'm in Las Vegas, so hopefully they will have a good tech there. Heaven knows we have enough Powerstrokes in this town...
