Sliding door won't open
My slidingdoor is stuck closed. I took the interior door panel off and determined that the handle is indeed operating the rod(or wire) that goes to the latch and you can hear a sound where the latch is located, but will not open. I tried forcing the rear part of the door out from inside while operating the handle, but doesn't help. Is there a way to get the door off so I can replace the latch? Please help, I am at wits end over this!

I previously looked through the other posts but I did not find one that actually said how to get it open other than one guy saying something about cutting something with a torch. Any ideas anyone?

You will have to remove the Rt rear panle assembly., on the back door frame you will see a squair cutout. Look Inside and you'll see the striker, It held on by a pices of stamp steel with bent tabs. I highly recommend you obtain a air chisle to bend the taps up, then buzz the pice counter clock wise to unscrew. Also on the top front part of the slideing door Is the support arm. Unbolt the arms. DO NOT UNBOLT FROM THE TOP OF THE DOOR !!! I learnd the hard way. Theres a pice of steel the the bolt screws In, mine fell out. Moan,moan, wine,wine.etc.,... After you change out the back lock. Make sure you lube every time you wash or clean..
