tire size/body work
I just got my lift and front end rebulit this weekend now i need new tires before i get the front end aligned. The choices are 32 or 33" BFG A/T or Yokohama geolander A/T which size is going to be the best for traction and looks on my 92 F-150 it is a 4" lift. I will post some pictures when i get the tires on and all the body work done.
here is the body work question the rust that I have they are going to fix with fiberglass. How does that compare to a patch panel? This is how the tech told it to me: Fiberglass is cheaper and when you do a patch panel it burns the protective coating off where you weld and will rust there in a few years where as the fiberglass will last 5 years and then start to rust. it is about 1/4 of the price of a patch job.
something new out, well at least to me
is they now have an epoxy/glue that is used by many body shops
so no welding is required.
Does it last ???
not sure many have lots of yes and no's on this type glue.
I welded mine in, with a spot welder,
only a few spots, and no warpage, and fiberglassed over to make final smoothness.
Only been a few months, so can only wait and see..........
