Caster @ 0ø Frame Angle = 4.2 deg (- 1 deg) total split -0.7ø +or- .7deg (+or-.5 deg)
(If vehicle is higher in the rear, add the frame angle to the measured
caster. If vehicle lower in the rear, subtract the frame angle from the measured caster. Compare the total to the specification.) ÃÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÅÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÅÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÅ ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ

I tried to copy this out of a Ford CD, and hope you can decipher it. Basically it says the optimum specs are CASTER 4.2 degrees, CAMBER -.5 degrees, and toe in of .12 degrees. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your quick reply. Any info is better than none. Today I went to one of our local ford dealerships, and one of the techs printed out a spec sheet off of their alignment computer. I haven't had time to look at it yet, but I will check to see how it compares to your info. Again, thanks for the help.

This is what the printout looks like.
FRONT SPEC. -TOL. +TOL.
Left Camber -.50 .50 .50
Right Camber -.50 .50 .50
Cross Camber .70
Left Caster 3.85 .65 1.35
Right Caster 4.55 1.35 .65
Cross Caster .70
Total Toe .12 .25 .25
This is for Explorers 1998-2001 4X4, except for automatic ride control, which would be different. Thanks for the welcome... just for the record, I don't think these trucks were made to go down the road straight, hahaha.
