86 Ranger engine swap
I just purchased a 86 4x4 ranger with a 2.8L that had been installed to replace the original 2.9L and I would like to switch it back to the 2.9L and restore it to original. Can anyone let me know if this is doable and if so should I be prepared to redo wiring and computer modules. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If that 2.8L actually works and was really replacing a 2.9L, I'd suggest finding a donor 2.9L harness and going from there.
Since the 2.9L was an option in your truck, it is of course a bolt in. You just need teh proper wiring and parts for the EFI.
